What is it?
Opening SkillsFuture Credit of $500
SkillsFuture Credit aims to encourage individual ownership of skills development and lifelong learning. Introduced in 2015, all Singaporeans aged 25 and above will receive an opening credit of S$500.
One-Off SkillsFuture Credit Top-Up
As part of efforts to encourage Singaporeans to take ownership of their skills development and be well-equipped to seize opportunities in the future economy, a one-off SkillsFuture Credit top-up of $500 will be provided to every Singapore Citizen aged 25 years and above as at 31 December 2020.
From 1 April 2020, eligible Singaporeans can start using their one-off SkillsFuture Credit top-up on more than 8,000 courses offered by the Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and NTUC LearningHub.
From 1 October 2020, this top-up can be used on all SkillsFuture Credit-eligible courses.
Take timely action to upskill and reskill, to seize new career opportunities. This top-up will expire on 31 Dec 2025.
Additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support)
To improve individuals’ access to career transition programmes, a one-off SkillsFuture Credit of $500 will be provided to every Singapore Citizen (SC) aged 40 to 60 (inclusive) as at 31 December 2020. This will be over and above the $500 SkillsFuture Credit top-up for SCs aged 25 and above as at 31 December 2020.
Eligible individuals can start using the SkillsFuture Credit provided under this package from 1 October 2020, on about 200 career transition programmes offered by the Continuing Education and Training (CET) Centres.This additional SkillsFuture Credit will be valid for five years to encourage individuals to take timely action to learn, reskill, and seize new career opportunities. All unused credit from
this additional SkillsFuture Credit will expire on 31 December 2025.
SGUnited Skills Programme and SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme
Eligible Singaporeans can use the opening Credit, the one-off SkillsFuture Credit top-up and the additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support) for courses under the SGUnited Skills programme and the SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways programme

Besides the opening credit of $500, you will also receive a one-off credit top-up of $500 on 1 October 2020.
I am 47 years old on 31 Dec 2020. How much SkillsFuture Credit will I receive?
You will receive a one-time top-up credit of $500, and an additional one-time credit of $500 under the SkillsFuture Mid-Career Support Package on 1 October 2020.
I am 65 years old on 31 Dec 2020. How much SkillsFuture Credit will I receive?
Besides the opening credit of $500, you will also receive a one-off credit of $500 on 1 October 2020.
